I began on the sketch for this one yesterday, and I inked and coloured it tonight. Though I was rather frustrated when I sketched this up. I hated the snake, Orochimaru looked like a dofus, and his hands! Argh! I was so tempted to just pull out my big black marker and rabble all over it, or rip the paper out of my sketchbook and just eat it. But now I'm glad I didn't.
After I got this basecoloured I was feeling kinda better and I though that this didn't look all that bad. And then I had fun with the shading, especially with the purple rope thing. Oooh. And the snake pattern, let's not forget that one. I went wild on the chakra, and I wanted some stylized clouds. Overall I'm happy with this one, and Orochimaru is just bad ass.

Done in Painter 8.0 and Photoshop 7.0

I like it as a stylized picture, but the snake having no weight bothers me a bit...looks like its just floating around the guy instead of crawling up and being supported by him.
